Singing Circles

Panim Hadashot-New Faces is unique in our commitment to community singing as central to our approach to Shabbat Hospitality and our community events.  We are tapped into the renaissance of Jewish music taking place in the US and Israel.  Many of our leaders attend the annual Community Singing Intensive offered by rising star, Joey Weisenberg and Mechon Hadar in New York City every year in December.  Our Heart of Shabbat Ensemble is led by jazz musicians who are committed to encouraging everyone to sing and to experience the joy of Shabbat through song.

Our singing circles are organized to share new music and to savor the joy of community singing.  We are not a chorus that requires auditions or musical reading skills, or is oriented around performance. We invite regular participants to join the ensemble for our Shabbat events.  Our volunteer singers add depth to our events and help new people to experience the joy of community singing.

For more information about our singing circles, consult the calendar on this website.
