Slow Reading Lovers Shabbat Lunch and Torah Study
March 10 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pmFree
Starting this month we are going to monthly Torah study and have renamed our study group, the Slow Reading Lovers Shabbat Lunch and Torah Study. We will meet once a month in the early afternoon on the 2nd Shabbat of the month for a Shabbatluck and delicious Torah study led by Rabbi Dov Gartenberg.
What is unique about our Torah study? Everyone participates by looking at a different Jewish commentary from widely different perspectives ate to illuminate different ways of reading and understanding the Torah.
Drop ins are welcome to join us, but those who take a couple of minutes to RSVP can signup for a pre assigned reading to enhance our study encounter. Also each person brings a food item to share with everyone else.
There is no charge to the study and it is open to the community. We welcome both beginners and experienced students of Torah to join us for our unique “Jewish slow reading” which features energetic discussion and lot’s of Ah Ha moments.
For questions about Slow Reading Lovers Shabbat lunch, contact Rabbi Dov directly at 206 739-9924 or dov @ panimhadashot.org.
Our text for this Shabbat will be Chapter 32 in the Book of Exodus: The Story of the Golden Calf.
