Musical Participatory High Holiday Services

Fall 2018 will be our second year offering our musical services for Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur.  Our services are led by Rabbi Dov Gartenberg and the Heart of Shabbat Ensemble. We blend traditional leadership of a prayer leader with the live music and community singing of our ensemble.  We share both traditional and new Hebrew melodies tied to the liturgy of the High Holidays. Our Rabbi intersperses services with Kavanot-short commentaries on the liturgy and themes of the Days of Awe to deepen the spiritual impact and to explore the insights and difficulties of these ancient texts we chant at this time of year.

In addition to services we also offer unique festival meals with the ensemble such as a Rosh Hashannah Seder, a musical Tashlich, and other unique festival events to foster connections among those who attend our services.

Subscribers to Panim Hadashot will receive two seats. Seats will be available to the public. Details about High Holidays including location will be announced by late July 2018.

Children and teenagers are most welcome at all our services and programs and child care is provided.  For several services.
