Community Shabbat Gatherings

Our Community Shabbat Gathering (CSG) is Panim Hadashot's monthly Friday night Shabbat event that takes place at WeWork in downtown Bellevue.  The CSG reflects Panim Hadashot's mission to bring people together through Shabbat Hospitality.  We gather over a shared meal (a vegetarian Shapotluck) and offer a community singing or learning experience which is relaxing, joyful, and spiritually enriching.

The unique feature of our Community Shabbat Gatherings is a Shabbat Singing Circle that follows Shabbat dinner. In the Singing Circle we share both old and new Shabbat and Jewish songs which are brought alive by our Heart of Shabbat Ensemble. We give great care to the songs we share with participants, seeking to plumb the spiritual depths and joy which is unique to the Jewish tradition of Sabbath singing.  In addition to our Singing Circle we often feature a brief Torah teaching or a guest speaker to stimulate discussion and to share Jewish wisdom.

You don't need a good singing voice or knowledge of the Shabbat songbook to enjoy the Singing Circle. And besides, the beautiful music will carry each of us along.

Our CSGs are free, open to the public, and kid friendly. We welcome Jews from both secular and more traditional backgrounds. We also extend an invitation to people from other faiths and cultures who would like to share in an authentic experience of the joy of the Jewish Sabbath.  While are potlucks are not strictly kosher, they are always vegetarian or pareve.

Logistics: We have ample and free parking as well as full disability access.  Parking instructions are at  We are also a short walk from the Bellevue Transit Center.  We do require a RSVP to attend and to select a food item to bring to the event.
